These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Institute of Club Directors website and membership services. By accessing this website or becoming a member, you agree to receive notifications and or marketing material, as well as comply with these terms.
1. About the Institute of Club Directors
The Institute of Club Directors (ICD) provides information, resources, and a forum for individuals interested in the governance of licensed clubs in Australia.
ICD is not a formal training provider. The Institute offers access to governance information, webinars, resources, and connections with other club directors.
2. Membership
Membership of the Institute of Club Directors is open to individuals who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of club governance.
Membership includes access to the members-only section of the website and the resources made available to members.
ICD reserves the right to approve, suspend, or terminate membership where necessary.
3. Membership Fees
Membership is currently $180 per year for an individual membership.
Membership fees are payable annually in advance by credit card through the website.
Membership fees are generally non-refundable once payment has been processed.
ICD may change membership fees at any time. Any changes will apply to future renewals.
4. Automatic Renewal
Membership may automatically renew annually unless the member advises the Institute that they wish to cancel prior to the renewal date.
Members will be notified prior to renewal where possible.
5. Member Certificate and Post-Nominals
Members may receive a membership certificate and may use the post-nominal MICD (Member of the Institute of Club Directors) while their membership remains current.
If membership expires or is cancelled, members must discontinue using the MICD designation.
6. Members Area
Members may receive login details to access the members-only section of the website.
Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details and must not share access with others.
ICD reserves the right to suspend access if misuse is detected.
7. Website Content and Intellectual Property
All materials provided through the website, including articles, templates, videos, and other resources, remain the intellectual property of the Institute of Club Directors or the original authors.
Members may use these materials for their own learning and governance purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, or publish them without permission.
8. Governance Advice
Information provided through the website, webinars, or discussions with consultants is intended as general governance guidance only.
It should not be considered legal, financial, or professional advice.
Members should seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.
9. Governance Consulting Services
ICD may offer governance consulting services to clubs or organisations. These services may be subject to separate agreements and fees.

ICD will make reasonable efforts to keep the website and members area available. However, the Institute does not guarantee uninterrupted access and may perform maintenance or updates from time to time.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Institute of Club Directors will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of this website, membership services, or reliance on information provided through the Institute.
